Mahindra will make armoured vehicles for the Indian Army
Mahindra Defence System is the provider of armoured solutions and technologies to Indian forces. Now Govt of India(Ministry of Defence) awarded a contract of approx. 1000 crore rupees to Mahindra to make armoured vehicles. Recently Mahindra Defence System made its Armoured vehicle LSV. Which is the only vehicle that passes all the trials held by Indian Defence Administration. Now the Indian Army want many of these vehicles for their battle force.
Hike of prices of the cars from April
From this month we will see an increase in the prices of new cars. As many of the carmakers confirmed that this is because of two basic reasons which is the pandemic and global chip shortage. Maruti Suzuki already announced that they will increase the prices by up to 6%. While Ford announced the increase by 3%. Other carmakers also confirmed but didn’t reveal the percentage of increase.
Flex-fuel engines may enter the Indian automobile industry soon
Recently union minister Mr Nitin Gadkari talked about flex-fuel engines at the AutoCar India Awards 2021. Flex-fuel engines are the advanced version of the I.C. engine that can run on more than one fuel or a combination of fuels. Mr Gadkari requested the Indian carmakers to develop such engines for the sake of the environment.
Approx. 4 crore vehicles running on roads are older than 15 years
Based on a recent survey govt affirms that 4 crore vehicles on the road are older than 15 years. While the number of vehicles older than 20 years is approx. 2 crores. They also planning to impose a green tax on these vehicles. (Green tax is a tax which makes polluter pay for the pollution)

Citroen C5 Aircross
The very old french automaker company Citroen prepared to launch its compact crossover SUV C5 Aircross in India. The production version of the car was shown at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. Although, this is an expensive car. But according to our review, it is worth the money. As it is featured with 12 inches dashboard screen with 8 inches touchscreen, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control (features may vary according to the model).

The German automaker all set up to launch its subcompact SUV (B-Segment) Volkswagen Taigun. The name Taigun for a car was introduced in 2012 as a subcompact SUV to sell in Europe. But somehow it was cancelled. But now it is going to launch in India with its solid build.

The world-famous automaker Hyundai is again ready to boom the Indian auto market with Alcazar. It is the most awaited 7-Seater SUV of Hyundai so far. Having a 7-Seater car it is important to have space for 2nd and 3rd-row passengers and Hyundai does it efficiently. The car looks astonishing while features are not mentioned even on the website. So let’s wait for the launch.
